New Marketing Strategy

GET RID OF THE BRAIN, REPEAT ALL REPUBLICAN PRECEPTS, & “Woo Hoo. Future VP? Take off the top Sweety!!” I actually thought it was uncool to post this photo, but after cruising the ‘net, I find that many Republicans are all for Sarah Palin (the quote above is real, made by a Republican supporter), based on looks — this is no damaging photo at all! So long as she agrees with giving up the rights women have historically fought for, has no say in what happens to her body, acts pleased by remarks made about her womanhood/looks/MILF status, sends gays to hell, savages the environment & turns Alaska into swiss cheese drilling territory, ‘hunts’ animals in a disgusting way, protects company shareholders in the…

A Little Man on the Side

Welcome, Walt Whitman ~~~ Waltie sits in his food … ~~~ Excerpt from Out of the Cradle Endlessly Rocking Out of the cradle endlessly rocking, Out of the mocking-bird’s throat, the musical shuttle, Out of the Ninth-month midnight, Over the sterile sands and the fields beyond, where the child leaving his bed wander’d alone, bareheaded, barefoot, Down from the shower’d halo, Up from the mystic play of shadows twining and twisting as if they were alive, Out from the patches of briers and blackberries, From the memories of the bird that chanted to me, From your memories sad brother, from the fitful risings and fallings I heard, From under that yellow half-moon late-risen and swollen as if with tears, From those beginning notes of…

Backyard Livin’

Posted on June 7, 2008

It’s nearly 90 degrees here in North Massapequa today, but we’ve got shade trees and a breeze coming in off the ocean … and lots of poets descending tomorrow for a big Barbecue! It’s time to crack out the wine and beer and fight for your hammock, as Famous Amis does above in his Jersey backyard. Enjoy the new summer, poets and peeps! xo, Amy and Ana p.s. Did I mention I’ll be here tonight?

Posted on May 8, 2008

THE STORY: In 2007, the ‘artist’ Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery and began starving him to death. For several days, the ‘artist’ and the visitors of the exhibition watched, emotionless, the shameful ‘masterpiece’ based on the dog’s agony, until eventually he died. Does THIS sound like art to you? But this is not all… the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of Central America decided that the ‘installation’ WAS actually art, so Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the Biennial of 2008. Let’s STOP HIM!!!!! Sign the petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/ea6gk/petition.html Here is another petition that is 2 million signatures strong. Please feel free to sign it as well:…
