Incredibly,

I have several poems and a short essay in this new textbook by Barbara Barnard and David Winn called, Access Literature: An Introduction to Fiction, Poetry and Drama. My brief essay will be, I think, helpful for students new to poetry. It’s called, “A Rose Is a Rose Is a Thorny Yellow Thing.” First person to closely guess the premise of the essay (in the comments) will receive from me Rod Smith’s new cd, “Fear the Sky,” courtesy of Narrow House Records.

Oh yeah, the textbook has other cool people in it too like Ron Padgett, Lyn Hejinian, Margaret Atwood, Richard Newman, Gregory Corso, Gwendolyn Brooks, Samual Beckett, The Ramones, Robert Creeley, Marylin Hacker, Gary Snyder, Wanda Coleman, Jerome Rothenberg … you know, people like that.

Does this make me official now?
