The Mets just beat the Cubs, I’m in the middle of tallying up my final grades, and Eclectica just posted a little review of that journal I work on, MiPOesias! Thanks, Eclectica!

    His review example for “Poetry” mag was downright
    frightening. I checked out some other pieces…
    ..wow, they have gone baroque lately. Creepy.
    They promised “accesible” a few years back
    (dodgy as that is!)…but they’ve gone hyper-tooled and
    arcane instead…wha??

    May 22nd, 2007 at 3:59 am econgratulations on the great review, amy (and to d.m.). malby got it right—miPO is definitely at “the forefront.” there are some great ones out there (like BORN, which my cousin founded)—but in my humble opinion there isnt anything like miPO, quite frankly—the creative design(s), the various formats (print, podcast, audio, chapbooks, guest editors who rock, those awesome broadside like features with exciting poets every time…good Lord!). it’s also by far the sharpest looking most stylish thing around. one of the best things going in contemporary poetry anywhere. ok. i’ll stop now (i’ve been reading reviews about laptops & just realized i sound like a consumer reports writer). cheers.
